JELLYFISH PROTECTION
100% protection from jelly fish when combined with a mask and hood.
There are around two thousand species of Jellyfish in the world but less than one hundred are considered dangerous to humans.
Divers regularly encounter stinging jellyfish and are frequently stung on exposed parts of their face. In many such instances, the diver may suffer only mild pain not unlike a bee sting which lasts for 6 to 8 hours.
However, the physical response to the venom varies from one individual to another and, for those with severe allergic reactions, the results can be excruciating pain and muscle convulsions which, combined, can cause the diver to panic and ascend rapidly to the surface.
STING-GUARD provides the diver with improved protection and thereby eliminates the risk of jellyfish stings.
DID YOU KNOW - More people are killed by the Box Jelly Fish in Australian waters than from Sharks, Crocodiles, and Snakes.

The above photograph was taken off the Isle of Bute, Scotland in July 2005.
I remember we were the only two divers on the boat wearing a sting-guard and got quite a bit of stick from the others diving that day, they called us "Gimp" and such like, all in the best of fun of course.
As the picture above shows the size of jellyfish waiting for us on that particular dive we were the only two laughing at the end of the days diving. |
