Aurelia Aureta Scyphistomae - Jellyfish Larvae

Aurelia aureta scyphistomae larvae - these are how many baby jelly fish look as they start life attached to the rock.

Each stalk contains what looks like a stack of dinner plates with tentacles around the fringe of each. They drop off one by one and join the plankton only a couple of mm across, eventually growing to about 25 cm across.
