There are many makes of regulator available to divers on the market place today. Stingguard does not have any complicated components in its design and so no expensive service costs,
it is compatible with all makes of regulator mouthpiece including rebreathers.
Sting-guards design makes it a safe product for divers and is easily removed should it be necessary in an emergency.
FITTING YOUR REGULATOR
There is an opening already present in the front of the stingguard mask this has been pre-cut during manufacture which easily accommodated the mouthpiece of any regulator. The size of the opening gives an excellent seal around the mouthpiece of all regulators including ones present with rebreathers systems. It therefore eliminates the possibility of the divers mouth and lips from coming into contact with the stingging cells from jellyfish or plankton and also offer a thermal barrier when diving in cold water.
REGULATORS AND STINGGUARD
The diagram on the left shows you how your stingguard should look like once a regulator has been fitted correctly. This process of regulator installation should be followed before attempting to wear the stingguard, as it makes stingguard easier to apply, in or out of the water.
Ease of application is also enhanced with a firm purchase of the regulator in your mouth and the stingguard against your chin to aid leverage over your mask and hood.
